• Cofounder of Free Journal Network. Incorporated it in 2020. President 2020-
• Cofounder of Publishing Reform online forum 2018.
• Used Freedom of Information laws to publicize journal costs (21000 readers in The Conversation) 2017
• Running accounts @oa_math and @freejournalnet on Twitter since 2017.
• Founding board member of MathOA Foundation 2017.
• Drafter of Fair Open Access Principles in 2017.
• Major contributor to conversion of Journal of Algebraic Combinatorics to community-controlled open access version Algebraic Combinatorics.
• Ran international survey of attitudes to journal reform in 2016.
• Drafter and signatory of Tasman Declaration on Open Research 2013
• Signatory of Elsevier boycott in 2012.
