I have been appointed Editor-in-Chief, succeeding Erica Flapan, with first issue January 2025.
I am happy to discuss ideas for articles or other issues related to the Notices.
My basic plan as EiC is to keep the same general structure but make the following changes:
-
- for feature articles, prioritize exposition quality over quantity of articles
- for professional articles, promote higher quality discussion and civil debate, and be proactive in seeking out such articles
- get more recognition for the work by the editorial board
- use an expanded Advisory Committee for consultation on specialized issues that the Editorial Board may need help with
